Fabulous new listing in Dignowity Hill - offered at $139,900

Highly desirable Dignowity Hill Historic District

This beautiful home located within walking distance from the Riverwalk, the Pearl Brewery, the Hays Street Bridge, and much much more is ideal for the urban dweller. Do you work Downtown, at Fort Sam Houston or SAMMC? That's great! You won't have to leave home at an unreasonably early hour to get to work. The close proximity to several major highways also means that you don't have to spend hours on the road to get anywhere. Traffic jam on the highways? Take surface streets and get where you need to be. I live in the neighborhood myself and find that at rush hour I'm always driving against the traffic.

Check out the new metal roof! In fact this house has been completely updated.

Doesn't this kitchen make you want to cook?

The well-thought-out, very efficient floor plan leaves little room for wasted space.

Guest bedroom

The spacious master bedroom has a large walk-in closet.

A very inviting, super cozy bathroom

The Cottage is getting a new look

Here's a view of the front. Sylvie Shurgot Real Estate sold this cottage back in February and the new owners have decided to make a couple of small changes to the back of the house.

So here are a few "before" pictures:

The house was very cute already, but the changes are going to make it more practical to live in as well as esthetically pleasing. This is a work in progress and we won't get pictures of the final look for a while, but the following images will give you an idea of what's happening.

To be continued...

Great restoration on a house sold by Sylvie Shurgot

This kitchen was a disaster! There was no room to do anything in there, let alone cook. But these buyers had vision and have turned this house into one of the coolest of this neighborhood.

Two new listings in Dignowity Hill - both under $90,000

606 Palmetto  -  $75,900 -  This Queen Anne Victorian home, built in 1911 for Theo and Clara Schelb using lumber from Pertich-Saur Lumber Co., needs some updating and personalization but can be lived in as work is getting done.

Panchos and Gringos Grand Opening 01/05/13 to 01/17/13

This wonderful little restaurant just opened in Dignowity Hill, at the corner of Nolan and N. Pine (address: 900 Nolan, 78202). The food is great, this is the only place where I will drink coffee other than at home. The prices are amazing and the portions rather large. Come over to our neighborhood and try it; while you're here take a tour and see the changes around Dignowity Hill. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
